Ramsey worked at the White House for thirty years, from around 1980 to 2010, and served six presidents.

The group was gathered in the East Room of the White House just six days after President Obama's inauguration. In this photograph, Obama is shaking hands with White House calligrapher Richard T. Muffler. Muffler was a third generation White House employee (following his grandfather, Richard T. Tracey, and father, John P. Muffler, Sr.) and worked there from 1978 to 2011.

This photograph of President Ronald Reagan and Paul D. Fischer, movie operator at the White House, was taken by Pete Souza on March 26, 1986. Fischer was a veteran of the Korean War who, while working on the presidential yacht the USS Williamsburg, heard about a job opportunity at the White House for a projectionist who knew how to operate 35 mm film. Fischer would work at the White House for over three decades, retiring in 1986. President Reagan and Fischer are captured here during a farewell photo opportunity upon Fischer's retirement.

This photograph of White House usher Nelson C. Pierce, Jr. with President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan was taken by Pete Souza on January 4, 1987. Pierce, often referred to as "Bumpa," started working in the Office of the Chief Usher in 1961. This photograph was taken in the Diplomatic Reception Room weeks before Pierce's retirement after over 25 years of working at the White House.

In this photograph President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan pose with Stewart C. Stevens during a photo opportunity in the Executive Mansion. Pete Souza took this group photography on November 28, 1988 in the Center Hall, which is located on the Second Floor of the White House. Stevens cleaned and maintained the windows and chandeliers from the presidency of Richard M. Nixon until his retirement in 2002 during George W. Bush's presidency.

Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The Civil Liberties Act of 1988 provided redress for the Japanese Americans incarcerated during World War II. Present at the signing were Senator Pete Wilson of California, Senator Spark M. Matsunaga of Hawaii, Representative Norman Yoshio Mineta of California, Representative Bill Lowery of California, and Representative Robert T. Matsui of California, among others.

In this photograph by Pete Souza, President Barack Obama returns the salute of Tommie Okabayashi in the Oval Office on February 18, 2014. Okabayashi was one of seven surviving Japanese American World War II veterans President Obama met with that day at the White House. In 2010, President Obama signed into law the legislation passed by Congress to reward the Congressional Gold Medal to the 33,000 second-generation Japanese American soldiers who fought in World War II. The Congressional Gold Medal is among the highest civilian awards given by the United States government.

In this photograph by Pete Souza, First Lady Michelle Obama announces the Academy Award winner for Best Picture on February 24, 2013. Her appearance on the live televised Oscar ceremony was filmed in the Diplomatic Reception Room on the Ground Floor of the White House. The winner of Best Picture, "Argo", was a film about the rescue of six United States diplomats who sought safety at the home of the Canadian ambassador to Iran during the 1979 to 1981 Iran Hostage Crisis in Tehran.

In this photograph by Pete Souza, White House Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier and assistant pastry chef Franette McCulloch pose with a cake made for a celebration of President Ronald Reagan's 77th birthday. The top of the cake is decorated with horses, a saddle, chocolate presidential seals, and chocolate horseshoes. The decorations are likely a reference to President Reagan's love of horses and Rancho del Cielo, his California ranch where his horses roamed free. This photograph is part of a personal collection belonging to former White House Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier. Chef Mesnier created elaborate desserts for the White House from 1980 to 2004.

President Obama spoke live on television from the East Room late on May 1. Bin Laden was the leader of the terrorist group al Qaeda, who were responsible for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and Flight 93, which crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. His death was carried out through a military mission led by members of the United States Navy SEALs.
