    This compilation is made of up of screenshots from the Howard Lefkowitz Collection. This film footage was taken at the White House Easter Egg Roll on April 13, 1998. The 1998 Easter Egg Roll was the first to be cybercast over the internet. Howard Lefkowitz served as vice president of business development and Internet marketing for EarthLink. In 1998, Lefkowitz developed and produced the first cybercast of the White House Easter Egg Roll. Working with the White House, EarthLink, and other technology partners, over 100 hours of film was recorded and simultaneously aired on the Internet live from the South Lawn of the White House. Lefkowitz would produce the cybercast from 1998 to 2000. This compilation contains copyrighted material and may only be used for the press and publicity.     This is an invitation to the White House for a reception celebrating the newly completed restoration of the Blue Room. First Lady Hillary Clinton hosted the event on February 17, 1995. Former White House Curator Lorraine Waxman Pearce was the recipient of this invitation. This invitation is part of the Lorraine Waxman Pearce Collection. Lorraine Waxman Pearce served as the first White House Curator from 1961 to 1962. As curator, she oversaw refurbishment projects, implemented collections policies, and collaborated with First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy to write the first White House guidebook—a joint publication of the National Geographic Society and the White House Historical Association. Since its original publication in 1962, “The White House: An Historic Guide” has been revised, updated, and printed for over 60 years.

    This invitation from President Richard M. Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon is for a reception celebrating the reopening of the Blue Room following refurbishment on May 15, 1972. The Blue Room had been closed since February 19, 1972, for a refurbishment project spearheaded by Mrs. Nixon alongside White House Curator Clement E. Conger and design consultant Edward Vason Jones. As first lady, Mrs. Nixon also oversaw the refurbishment of eight additional rooms, as well as major renovations to the Map and China Rooms. This invitation was sent to former White House Curator Lorraine Waxman Pearce, who attended the reception. This invitation is part of the Lorraine Waxman Pearce Collection.     This photograph is of Army Signal Corps Officer Al Cornelius with a European war map in the White House Map Room circa 1943. The Map Room is located on the Ground Floor of the Executive Mansion and got its name during the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration when President Roosevelt used the room to monitor and intake classified information during World War II. The room was the original Situation Room. Today the room acts as a sitting room but still displays maps in homage to its origins.

In this photograph, Mrs. Johnson speaks at the dedication of the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory. During her trip, she addressed the American Institute of Park Executives and toured the Boerner Botanical Gardens. Mrs. Johnson was an environmentalist who championed beautification projects across the country, culminating in the passing of the Highway Beautification Act of 1965.

President Joseph R. Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden welcomed President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron, spouse to the president of France, to the White House for the day's events which included the arrival ceremony, a press conference with President Biden and Macron, and, later that evening, a State Dinner. This was Biden's first State Visit as president.

    This article is about the Inauguration of President John Quincy Adams and was published in Niles' Weekly Register on March 12, 1825. The article describes the events of the Inauguration and Adams's outfit which was a "plain suit of black". John Quincy Adams was the son of President John Adams and First Lady Abigail Adams. Prior to his presidency, President Adams was a diplomat to the Netherlands, Prussia, Russia, and the United Kingdom. He served as Secretary of State under President James Monroe and is the only president who went on to serve in the United States House of Representatives after being president. Adams represented his home state, Massachusetts, in the House.
