This menu is from a State Dinner held in honor of Prime Minister Tony Blair of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The State Dinner was hosted by President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton at the White House on February 5, 1998. The dinner took place in the East Room and was followed by performances by Elton John and Stevie Wonder outside on the West Terrace.
This menu is part of a personal collection belonging to former White House Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier. Chef Mesnier created elaborate desserts for White House events from 1979 to 2004.
