Preparations for the 1998 Cybercast of the White House Easter Egg Roll, Howard Lefkowitz Collection
This behind-the-scenes film was taken during the preparations for the cybercast of the 1998 White House Easter Egg Roll on April 13, 1998. Included in this film is footage of historical interpreters, newsmen Willard Scott and Tony Perkins, and lines of guests waiting to get their Easter Egg Roll tickets. This film also includes the set up and preparations for the cybercast.
This film is part of the Howard Lefkowitz Collection. Lefkowitz served as vice president of business development and Internet marketing for EarthLink. In 1998, Lefkowitz developed and produced the first cybercast of the White House Easter Egg Roll. Working with the White House, EarthLink, and other technology partners, over 100 hours of film was recorded and simultaneously aired on the Internet live from the South Lawn of the White House. Lefkowitz would produce the cybercast from 1998 to 2000.
