This photograph, taken on December 13, 1971 during the Richard M. Nixon administration, showcases velvet and satin ornaments hanging on the official White House Christmas Tree in the Blue Room. The ornaments were made by disabled workers in Florida, and one was made featuring the name and state flower of every state. The ornaments were first created for First Lady Pat Nixon's White House Christmas decorations in 1969.
